At Seattle Preschool, we believe that children learn best through hands-on, meaningful experiences that connect their hearts, minds, and bodies. This week, our students explored the fascinating world of bugs through open-ended art and creative expression.

Using natural materials, bold colors, and lots of imagination, children created bug-inspired artwork that reflected their curiosity, observations, and unique voices. These projects weren’t just about bugs—they were about identity, storytelling, and the power of noticing the small things. As children designed, collaborated, and shared, they practiced fine motor skills, built vocabulary, and expressed big feelings through tiny details.

This kind of work is at the heart of our curriculum: responsive, joyful, and rooted in the belief that every child is an artist and every moment is a chance to connect with the world around us. We hope you enjoy these glimpses into your children’s creativity, and the tiny creatures that inspired it all!
